The Sault Ste. Marie Medal of Merit Selection Committee is pleased to announce Connie Raynor-Elliott as the recipient of the 2024 Medal of Merit.
Connie has worked tirelessly to address the complex challenges of addiction, homelessness, and social vulnerability in Sault Ste. Marie. She founded SOYA (Save Our Young Adults from Substance Abuse), a grassroots, volunteer-driven organization dedicated to connecting individuals in need with life-saving resources. Her compassion, determination, and innovative spirit have saved lives and transformed countless futures.
